Luxury clothing that is handcrafted and inspired by Indian heritage was founded by the trio of a mother and two daughters, who began their journey with the intention of making affordable luxury, as they couldn’t find what they wanted to wear anywhere in the market; anything appealing to the senses was very expensive. So they started with Begum, which has now blossomed into a well-known business.
The main ideology of the brand is to bring sophistication to daily and occasion wear that lasts years and is timeless in appeal, with a promise to highlight the simplicity yet completeness of Indian wear.

Begum celebrates heritage and rare craftsmanship in traditional silhouettes. Our pieces can be best defined as summer personified with artisanal hand embroidery, hand appliqués, and ancient techniques revived on present-day handlooms.
Our textiles are woven and refined in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. We take pride in being one of the frontrunners in saving the local artisans and refining the handloom crafts.
Our fibre-to-fabric journey makes for an incredible story in the hands of some of the finest artisans and most humble and hardworking partners from the village.

Dupattas and sarees play an indispensable role in the Indian tradition as a symbol of respect, with which the brand started this journey.
As the journey grows, they spread all their motherly love and care through their artisanal clothing culture.
Over the years, Begum has made its way across the globe and has also been a favourite of design icons and celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Soha Ali Khan, Sonam Bajwa, and many more.
